Project Reviews

Project reviews can be performed using either a triage system or alternatively a particular level of evaluation for a single project or group of projects can be selected.

  1. High level evaluation of all, or a subset of, projects in a portfolio to get a sense of those that may require further evaluation. This would take the form of a 1-2 hour interview with the Sponsor and Project Manager for each project covering the key issues of:
    • the scope and outputs from the projects?
    • the value and benefits of the outputs?
    • the cost to deliver?
    • the time to complete?
    • the risks and issues and how they are being dealt with?
    • the people factors (sponsor, manager, team, suppliers, customers, stakeholders)?
  2. Mid level of evaluation of a sub set of the projects that have been identified as having risks or issues. This would take the form of 4-8 hour review to confirm findings from the high level review.
  3. Independent Quality Assurance (IQA) Review, these are very detailed, extensive and intensive reviews of projects that can take from a few days, to a few weeks depending on the size and scale of the project.
